The Needs Assessment Process

Assessing Your Online Strategy Score

As part of our NIRDS approach to client relationships, we’ve put a lot of thought into how best to start the conversation that will allow us to create a long-term roadmap together.

The Needs Assessment is the culmination of seven years of experience designing, developing, and deploying a variety of web-enabled solutions. It enables us to form a springboard for discussion and will ultimately lead us to co-create your online strategy roadmap.

Here’s what the process looks like.

Professional Analysis

We start by doing some legwork on our end, providing an outside perspective on key areas of online opportunity, including but not limited to:

  • Strategy
  • Branding
  • Traditional web presence
  • Social media presence
  • Mobile presence
  • Internal IT solutions
  • Events & Partnerships
  • Search Engine Optimization
  • Paid Advertising Performance

During this analysis, we take into account applicability of each area by weighting the scores we assign accordingly.

Interviews

Armed with due diligence and a list of full of questions, we get on a conference call,  video conference, and on-site workshops to dig a bit deeper and merge our findings with your goals.

These 30 to 60 minute sessions are held with everyone who needs to have a major say in your online strategy, and we’ll work together to determine if individual or group sessions are the best for your needs.

Online Strategy Score

Combining our objective analysis with in-depth interviews, we complete the Needs Assessment by presenting our Online Strategy score, which will assign a score to each area of opportunity with rationale provided for each. Where applicable, we include direct quotes from interviews to ensure we are representing the real voice of the organization.

With your Online Strategy Score, we have an excellent starting point for conversation and are ready to take the next step of creating a long-term, prioritized roadmap.
