Our HiDef team, working closely with our client Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH), recently developed the Bible.is™ app for deaf users. Bringing together the Deaf Missions ASL videos and the ASL JESUS Film, Deaf Bible.is™ ASL is an app that provides sacred content to a Deaf audience in a way that has never been done in any other app. This joint collaborative effort amongst the organizations fills a need in the app market, and I hope that it sparks support for similar apps. Deaf Bible.is™ ASL is one of the first apps designed specifically for the Deaf with an understanding that seeing scripture in your heart language can speak to you in ways that a second language will never fully match.

Recently, HiDef attended the Harvard International Development Conference at the Harvard Kennedy School, which was ironically titled “The End of Development.” The keynote speakers were inspiring, the crowd was eager to change the world, and the message was clear: International Development is at the beginning of a new era.
